Introduced in 1943 in Dumb-Hounded, Droopy is an anthropomorphic white basset hound created by Tex Avery, American animator and director, known for producing and directing animated cartoons during the golden age of American animation. Droopy is known to move and speak slowly with a monotone voice, but is incredibly witty. Along with his son Dripple, the two dogs work around the challenges in the world. In the 1980s, Droopy shorts were a part of the Tom and Jerry Comedy Show and it became a mild success. Droopy eventually had his own spin-off, Droopy: Master Detective, and starred in other features like Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Tom and Jerry: The Movie.

The simple design of the Reebok Club C Revenge has made it a clean canvas for tributes and remakes.
