Salehe Bembury brings his signature colour palette to New Balance’s iconic Made in USA 992 with the “Calm Be the Crater.” Inspired by the landscapes and deep blue waters of Oregon’s Crater Lake, the design reflects his material-driven vision. The pair releases on February 19.

Overall, the design showcases Salehe Bembury’s material-first approach, blending bold colour and rich textures in a balanced, cohesive way. Built on a vivid blue mesh base with green leather underlays, and layers of green and grey hairy suede come together seamlessly. Subtle contrasts from the light blue sock liner, blue and neon “N” logos, and yellow 992 tongue branding add depth without overpowering the look. Finished with cork insoles and exposed “Salehe Bembury” details, the shoe feels expressive yet controlled. Completing the experience, the shoebox features art of Oregon’s Crater Lake, rendered in an oil-painting style.
