From Our Community, For Our Community: The Solestop Food Drive

At Solestop, community has always been about more than what happens inside the shop. Through Solestop Run Club, our events and the people who continue to show up and support us, we have seen just how much can happen when the Markham community comes together.

This fall, we are bringing our community together to give back.

From September 14 to October 12, Solestop is hosting a Community Food Drive in support of the Markham Food Bank, with support from our friends at Downtown Markham.

Markham, Let's Fill the Shelves

Throughout the food drive. we will be collecting non-perishable food items and essential personal-care products at Solestop during regular store hours.

Markham Food Bank's most needed food items include rice, individually wrapped school snacks, hot and cold cereal, juice, peanut butter, evaporated milk cans, canned fruit, canned salmon, kidney beans, cooking oil, pasta sauce, and crackers.

Essential personal-care donations are also welcome. This includes shampoo and conditioner, body wash, toothpaste and toothbrushes, and menstrual products.

Whether it is one can, a bag of groceries, or a large donation, every contribution counts!

How to Donate

Drop off your donations at Solestop in Downtown Markham anytime during our store hours:

Monday-Friday: 12 PM - 7 PM

Saturday: 12 PM - 6 PM

Sunday: 12 PM - 5 PM

We will be collecting from September 14 through October 12, with all donations going to the Markham Food Bank to support members of our local community!

More than the Pace

Solestop Run Club started with a simple idea of bringing people together through movement with all paces welcome. As our community continues to grow, we want to find more ways to use what we have built to make a difference beyond running.

Whether you run with us, shop with us, or simply call Markham home, everyone is welcome to take part!
