One of Montreal's fashion labels Estudio Niksen teams up with Saucony for their very first collaboration and brings out their own iteration of the classic Trainer 80, releasing Thursday April 30th.

The duo reworks the Trainer 80, which was originally released as a performance running shoe back in 1978, shifting its focus to a more modern yet versatile design. The project is inspired by a daydream of Andrés Barrios and Gabrielle Gagné(The founders of Estudio Niksen) life outside the city, with the idea of spending time outdoors and stepping away from the busy city life.

The sneaker features a mixture of materials and earth tones, such as hairy suede panels on the toebox and heel, ripstop fabric on the base, and a checkerboard design on the tongue. Estudio Niksen logos are branded on the tongue tag, heel, and insole, all which were drawn by Gabrielle Gagné.
