It’s a special year for Grey Day 2026. The lineup moves away from classic silhouettes like the 990, 992, and 993, as New Balance has decided to release a fresh range of models that align with the Y2K trend. The lineup coming to Solestop includes the 1890, 2010, 2000, and 5030.
However, even though the collection features new silhouettes, you can still find classic New Balance DNA throughout the lineup.
The 1890 is wrapped in classic New Balance grey with suede detailing on the heel, along with red model branding at the heel, giving off a strong 990v3 & 990v4 vibe. Beyond the traditional materials and colour palette, it also features synthetic metallic leather accents on the upper, reflecting the Y2K direction.
