PACE, founded by creative director Felipe Matayoshi, draws on his Brazilian and Japanese heritage to create pieces that balance functional detail with modern style. In March, the brand teamed up with Asics to reimagine the Gel-Kayano 12.1, with the collaboration set to release on March 6.

The upper features a breathable open grey mesh base, layered with glossy black tiger stripes along the sides and textured leather overlays. Reptile-embossed panels wrap the toe and heel, adding depth and contrast to the clean white and silver palette. Subtle dot-pattern underlays enhance the dimension, giving the shoe a dynamic edge even in a mostly monochrome finish.

On the lateral forefoot, PACE branding is delicately stamped into the overlay, while co-branded detailing at the heel is marked by a red convex dot, small yet intentional accents that underscore the collaboration’s refined approach.
